Nutritional Coaching
The human body is complex but amazing. Food provides our bodies with the raw materials for all cellular function, not least effective metabolism. When that input is not adequate or correct, it stands to reason that our bodies don’t function with peak performance. Our unique human physiology is altered and affected, unwanted symptoms can arise and we no longer operate at our best.
The way your body responds and reacts to diet and dietary changes is individual to you, hence any symptom can have numerous different causes. My approach with your nutritional action plan is therefore bespoke to you. Assessing current health status, health history, lifestyle, together with food and activity diaries, we can build a picture and identify the areas for change. I can then support you with recommended, evidence based approaches to address imbalances, potential deficiencies or lifestyle factors that need attention.
Do you Struggle with any of the below?:
Hormonal health and balance
Hormonal change and imbalance is a complex area but one many of us face at specific points in our lives. I can help you to understand what foods will best support your hormones. This is especially helpful for perimenopausal and menopausal women and can help to alleviate or lessen the low grade unwanted symptoms often experienced in these transition periods of life.
Weight management
Multiple diets that didn’t work? Nutritional coaching isn’t about limiting food, it’s about establishing healthy behaviours and habits which gives your body the capacity to shed any unwanted weight.
Pre diabetes, diabetes, high cholesterol or high blood pressure
Diet is a critical element of managing metabolic or heart health issues and the great news is that correct diet and lifestyle choices are proven effective in reducing or eliminating these early symptoms and concerns. There is so much that can be achieved with the correct food intake, and working within the advice of your doctor, I can help you to implement and sustain the change needed.
Fatigue
There are many reasons why you may feel tired all the time – even after a good sleep! It’s such a common symptom that I hear on a regular basis. Fortunately, it can be an easy symptom to resolve especially when looking across nutrition and lifestyle factors combined. A fix may be as simple as balancing better your macronutrient intake, however there may also be micronutrient imbalances such as iron, folate and B12 which are all involved in energy production. Dietary analysis can find some simple solutions for many clients.
Recent diagnosis by your doctor of bone health conditions
The correct nutrition can be massively important if you have had a recent diagnosis regarding bone health. Analysing dietary intake can help you to correct any potential deficiencies and provide you with reassurance that you are meeting required levels of critical micronutrients to support healthy bones.
Are you a committed sports person or athlete, training and competing at high intensities on a daily basis?
