About me
I previously worked in the sport and physical activity industry for over 20 years, working within government to write and develop research and write physical activity, health and sports policy. As a result, I have an excellent understanding of what it takes for individuals to successfully change behaviours whether that is around food and nutrition, physical activity or other lifestyle factors. I have always been passionate about nutrition and the impact on health. My initial degree in Sports Sciences at Loughborough University incorporated nutrition and human sciences which gave me a solid foundation of human biology. Seizing an opportunity to return to my studies full time, I gained a Level 4 Diploma in Nutrition and am currently continuing to study for my Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Nutrient Metabolism and Immunity, accredited by the Royal Society for Public health and certified by the Association for Nutrition. I love the application of these studies whilst working with unique clients, empowering others to make often simple and hugely effective change for better health and wellbeing.
As a mum of young sporty children (one vegetarian and one gluten free), and a husband who competes within high level triathlons, food choices have always been key for us as a family. Food and healthy habits undoubtedly fuel performance, but I am also passionate about the power of nutrition to help resolve many health symptoms and conditions which so many of us deal with daily. The last decade alone, has seen food be genuinely understood as medicinal in managing and alleviating so many health concerns or low-grade symptoms whether that be supporting hormonal change, weight management or tackling energy or immunity issues. I have witnessed first-hand how my son’s health has been hugely supported by making the right dietary choices unique to him. The research and knowledge is hugely empowering, and there is new learning being published almost on a weekly basis. I feel excited and privileged to be working as a nutritional coach who can share this knowledge, support your journey, and help you live your life with vitality.
My Approach to Nutritional Coaching

My approach is based on nourishing your body with real food that works for you. It’s not about an ideal ‘diet’, in fact it’s often a combination of small changes to what, when and how we eat, our lifestyle and behaviour, that helps to improve our health. Changing how we eat requires commitment, and it can take a little while for the body to register and respond to the new information it is receiving or to fully engage with new routines. My consultation packages are designed to reflect this and provide the support you may need to fully implement these changes.
